What is PEEL and what is the purpose?

PEEL is a Alpha-Hydroxy acid. Alpha hydroxy or AHA acids are natural fruit and lactic acids, and can be used as a chemical peel to loosen the top layer of skin and remove dead skin cells.

Why did Goldeneye include PEEL in the PMU product range?

The better the skin, the better the micro pigmentation result. Prior to a micro pigmentation treatment, it is recommended to bring the skin in to an optimal condition. Forth is purpose, we recommend an AHA acid peeling with PEEL 1-2 times a week and the daily use of KEEP to improve the skin quality. All Goldeneye CARE LINE products are suitable for home care.

Why PEEL?

The micro pigmentation treatment is easier if the skin has been treated with peel beforehand. Problematic skin conditions for PMU treatments are:

Ingedients

– 10% Glycolic acid

– 7% Mandelic acid

– 3% Citric acid

– pH 3,5 –3,8

“In addition to its peeling effect, glycolic acid has a sebum-regulating effect, reducing sebum secretion. This means that the tendency to oily skin decreases and enlarged pores are reduced to regular size. Due to its small molecule size, glycolic acid acts both on the upper horny layer and in deeper skin layers.
The molecules of mandelic acid are notably larger in comparison to glycolic acid, and thus, are able to slowly and consistently penetrate deeper skin layers. Mandelic Acid is the only AHA fruit acid that has a naturally occurring antibiotic effect!
Citric acid occurs naturally in citrus fruits and belongs to the group fruit acids. Citric acid acts especially astringent and toning, supporting the healing process.”
