Medicone is a semi-occlusive, self-drying and transparent pure medical grade silicone gel. Medicone dries to form an occlusive protection layer that is waterproof and hydrating. This reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and protects compromised skin areas and open wounds from chemical and microbial invasion due to its inert composition. Medicone can be applied to fresh incisions and excisions, open wounds and compromised skin surfaces including those from post laser treatments, chemical peels, dermal abrasion, plasma skin tightening and cosmetic tattoo procedures.
